What is Career Consulting?
Individual career consulting is a one-on-one, personalized process where a career professional (consultant, coach, or counselor) works directly with a client to help them clarify and achieve their career goals.
Identifying your Career D.N.A:
identifying interests, skills, values, and strengths.
Assessment tools:
using personality, skills, or career assessments (e.g., Strong Interest Inventory, MBTI, CliftonStrengths).
Career decision-making:
narrowing down options and choosing a career path.
Job search strategy:
creating targeted resumes, cover letters, and LinkedIn profiles.
Interview preparation:
practicing responses and building confidence.
Networking guidance:
teaching how to build meaningful professional connections.
Career transitions or pivots:
supporting clients through career changes, layoffs, or return-to-work situations.
Professional development:
strategizing around promotions, leadership growth, or further education.
The key difference from group workshops or general advising is that everything is tailored to the individual’s background, aspirations, and needs.
What is Your Career DNA?
Many factors contribute to what I call your Career DNA — a unique blend of your work interests, personality, skills, values, upbringing, geographic location, abilities, and family dynamics. Through individual career consulting, we use a variety of tools to help uncover and understand the layers that make up your Career DNA.
